IRON MOUNTAIN -- Thanks to help from donors and volunteers, a local school is making sure their students have the best technology at their fingertips.

Bishop Baraga Catholic School in Iron Mountain recently reopened its computer lab.  The lab has been upgraded with 25 new personal computers available to all students.

Also, thanks to the gift of Zygmund Bonkowski, all the seventh and eighth graders received netbook laptops.

The move gives students the opportunity to learn with technology they use daily.

"There's so much we can do, not only for just making it available to them, but also bringing it into the classroom," said Board President Mike Parent.  "I mean there's so much on the Web that we can, as our small school size, we can bring in special programs for one or two students."

Parent says the additional computers will be added later in the school year including some with video editing capabilities.
