Rummage sale in Harvey
HARVEY -- Ordinary household items will be helping to support local children's organizations, such as Special Olympics in Harvey.
For the first year, the St. Louis the King Council 6447 of the Knights of Columbus are holding a rummage sale, and all proceeds will be donated.
The sale started off on a pretty good note, making about $70 just within the first 20 minutes.
Items on sale were donated by the public, and members of the St. Louis Church and they include a wide variety.
"There's a little something for everybody really. You just have to shop for it. That's the nice thing about a rummage sale," said Grand Knight Mike Gschwind.
The sale will continue tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus parking lot and St. Louis Church basement in Harvey.
