Buyer beware, that's the warning going out to U.P. residents in light of an asphalt scam. TV6 has information about so called 'gypsy pavers' who are coming around to homes in the Marquette County area offering to blacktop their driveway, for cash only. Sentencing day for Jacob Treiber in Dickinson County. The charges facing Treiber include two counts of breaking and entering and one count of larceny, between $1,000 and $20,000. The court decision tonight on your TV6 Early News.

A Norway man is also being sentenced today in Dickinson County Circuit Court.  Justin Reed, 21, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny. We'll have the court's decision on your TV6 News Tonight.

A new historical marker is being dedicated today for William Bakewell. He's a U.P. resident who played an important role in the 1914 Antarctic Expedition lead by Sir Ernest Shackleton. His story on your TV6 News Tonight.
