HOUGHTON -- The second annual Big Truck Day rolled into the Copper Country Mall on Saturday.

The event brings out dozens of private and city operated trucks and large vehicles in support of Houghton's Dial Help Community Support and Outreach Center.

For five dollars, kids were able to get up close to the likes of a racing truck, emergency vehicles, and excavators.

"It's something every kid kind of experiences at some point in their life," says Steele Lindbloom of Dial Help.  "They see those big trucks and they're like 'ahh,' and so it's a nice thing for them to experience because not all the time will kids have the opportunity to see these trucks and everything."

Last year the event raised about $2,000; they had hoped to double that this year.
