MARQUETTE -- A lot of people have been hitting the links lately because of the warm weather, and next weekend, golfers in Marquette County will have the opportunity to golf for a good cause.

Sunny 101.9 and Flanigan's Bar have been hosting an annual golf scramble for several years that benefits area charities.

This year's 'Golf for Therapy' event will benefit Willow Farm Therapeutic Riding.

"They offer such unique services to kids that either have disabilities or handicaps that wouldn't allow them otherwise to be able to ride horses and discover the benefits of the therapeutic aspect of the riding, so it's really a great cause to help out with this event," says Mark Evans of Great Lakes Radio.

The 9-hole course only allows for 18 teams, so if you want to participate, you can go to Flanigan's and sign up or contact Great Lakes Radio at (906) 228-6800.

The Golf for Therapy scramble will be held on Saturday, June 5 at Gentz's Homestead Golf Course in Chocolay Township.
