The U.S. Coast Guard is working to put navigational aids, including buoys and beacons, back into the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway.

The annual effort began in March and work is expected to be completed by May 28.

Operation Spring Restore involves the reinstallment of nearly 1,300 navigational aids.
