Michigan motorists will likely soon get the option of paying $10 for a State Parks pass when they renew their vehicle license plates every year.

The $10 fee would enable them to make unlimited visits to the park within the year.

Currently, a daily pass costs $6. A yearly pass is $24.

Supporters of the change say they think it will prompt more people to buy passes and raise more money for the state.
