MARQUETTE -- Finding their call--that's the theme at this weekend's P2K Catholic Youth Conference at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette.

Two-hundred-thirty-eight U.P. teens came to the conference that encouraged them to find their call and showed them ways they can use it in the future.

Bishop Alexander Sample shared about his life as a priest and fielded questions from the youth.

"We want the young people to understand that they are very much a part of the church now," said Bishop Sample.  "They certainly are the future of the church.  They're also the church of now, and we want them to feel that sense of belonging and importance now, in the body of Christ."

Saturday's schedule also included a skit and a panel of adults who shared how they live their lives for God.

"Just try to rely on God more than rely on other things," said Ishpeming teen, Joshua Robinson, "but to rely on him more."

One teen said the conference helped motivate her to get more involved in her church in Munising.

"And get more involved with everything really," said Courtney Petosky, "because I do need faith in my life."
