GARDEN -- A 15-year-old Marquette teen is dead after a boating accident on Van's Harbor in Garden.

State Police responded to a call of an overturned boat at 2:10 a.m. Sunday.

The 15-year-old was located in about 8 to 10 feet of water shortly after the search began.

CPR was initiated and continued until EMS personnel arrived.  The teen was taken to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the victim is being withheld.

Authorities believe alcohol to be a factor, and the incident remains under investigation.
