Shoppers filed into the Superiorland Ski Club's Bike and Kayak Swap.
MARQUETTE -- Maybe it was the gloomy weather or the economy, but whatever the reason, the Superiorland Ski Club had a record turn-out at their annual Bike and Kayak Swap.
For more than 15 years, this event has been raising money for the Superiorland's cross country youth ski programs.
Bicycles for all ages and abilities could be found, as well as various equipment and accessories. There was also a few kayaks up for sale.
Those wanting to clean out their garages and make a little pocket change definitely did so at Saturday's swap.
"We're just delighted to see so many people able to sell their bikes and so many able to get a new bike," said Sam Graci. "It certainly encourages a healthy lifestyle and we're happy to support that."
This year, $25,000 in bikes, kayaks and related goods were sold, and 10 percent of those proceeds will go to the Superiorland Ski Club.
