BURT TOWNSHIP -- A Wisconsin man was killed in a snowmobile accident Saturday.

It happened just before 11 a.m. in Burt Township.

State Police say 45-year-old Stanley Stemper of Random Lake, Wisconsin failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.

He was riding with relatives and friends when the accident occurred.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Stemper was pronounced dead at the scene.
