Pine Mountain ski jumps are only two days away.
IRON MOUNTAIN -- The recent warm temperatures have been a relief to many, but melting snow hasn't been good news for the Kiwanis Ski Club.
The Pine Mountain ski jumps are less than two days away, but this week's thaw has ski club members scrambling to get the jump back into condition.
The track on the scaffold collapsed, meaning it has to be reset with snow and ice before it can be used.
Ski club members, however, are taking it all in stride.
"It's not something that's foreign to us. The guys do a great job--you present them a problem and they'll take care of it. So with the cold weather coming today and anticipated overnight and whatnot, they'll reset the track and we'll be ready for a great competition," said Susie Fox, the Chairperson of Press.
They plan on having the jump ready by Friday for the trial runs.
The competition begins on Saturday.
