GWINN -- We're now one month away from the 20th running of the U.P. 200 and Midnight Run sled dog races, and to celebrate, there are some big changes.

The Midnight Run that starts in Gwinn will now end Saturday morning in downtown Munising, instead of Wetmore.

So far, 28 mushers have signed up for the event with 12 spots still open.

Organizers say the Midnight Run will still be about 91 miles long.

"This change will be permanent, it may actually end in a different part of Munising at some point, but right now the change to ending in Munising is permanent," said Pat Torreano with the U.P. Sled Dog Associated Press.

There are no changes for the 240 mile U.P. 200 race from downtown Marquette to Grand Marais and back.

Thirty-seven mushers have signed up so far with only three spots still available.
