An open house was held to mark the end of renovations.
HANCOCK -- The renovations to Hancock City Hall and the police department are finished, ending with an open house Tuesday afternoon.
State Director of the USDA Rural Development Revolving Loan Fund presented a check for $604,000 to city leaders this week.
Over the summer, most of the overhaul was done in the police department, located on the first floor of the building.
"This is a very historic building, a very solid building, but it needed work," says Mayor Bill Laitila, "especially in the police department. They did a fantastic job."
Renovations also included a new roof and facade work to the front of the building.
