MARQUETTE -- It's the season for holiday parties, and AAA Michigan wants to keep you safe on the roads.  They want to curb drunk driving by encouraging the use of non-alcoholic beverages at parties and family gatherings.

Monday, with the help of Marquette County Sheriff Michael Lovelace, residents got a taste of the alcohol-free drinks.

Everyone that came in got a free non-alcoholic recipe book, called The Great Pretenders.

"Some of them are amazingly good, in fact, some actually taste like they might have alcohol in them, but they don't," says Dan Adamini of AAA Michigan.  "They taste very good, a lot of different recipes, and again, if they had this as an alternative, they might choose that."

Copies of The Great Pretenders cookbook are available at AAA's office at the Westwood Mall in Marquette.
