Over one third of Michigan manufacturing jobs lost since 2000.
During the last eight years, Michigan has suffered the biggest percentage decline in manufacturing jobs in the nation, according to a report released on Saturday.
The American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition says Michigan has lost more than 315,000 manufacturing jobs since 2000--that's a 35.5 percent reduction.
Flint, Ann Arbor, Saginaw, and the Detroit-Livonia Metropolitan area suffered the highest percentage declines in manufacturing job losses in the state.
