The principal thought it was such a great idea that she promised the students a pizza party for their class anyway.
ISHPEMING -- Not many sixth graders would give up a pizza party for charity, but Mr. Dompierre's sixth grade class did just that.
After winning the TV6 Canathon classroom competition, the students voted to donate their pizza party to the Salvation Army.
The principal thought it was such a great idea that she promised the students a pizza party for their class anyway.
"Mrs. Willey said she was very pleased with us to donate it and she told us that she might give us a pizza party," said sixth grader Lorissa Juntti.
Five to seven pizzas were given to the Salvation Army for families that cannot cook food.
