MARQUETTE -- Marquette General Hospital is in the spirit of giving this year, and they have a lot to be thankful for.

Marquette General has launched its Pay it Forward Holiday Campaign which encourages MGH employees to participate in greater levels to community service projects. The initiative comes after the hospital was recognized as one of the nation's best and brightest hospitals.

"We are honored to be one of the best and brightest hospitals in the country, second year in a row," said MGH President and CEO Gary Muller. "It gives you pause to say this is really good, we have great employees, great staff, and people who are giving this year, and they want to give even more."

MGH has contributed to the TV6 Canathon for years, but this year they hope to raise a record 10,000 pounds worth of food. The Canathon will wrap up Thursday evening with the live special, airing at 7 p.m. ET on TV6.
