MARQUETTE COUNTY -- One of the hot tech items this Christmas season may be just within your reach, thanks to U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

When you bring in three food items for the TV6 Canathon, you're entered in a drawing to win an iPad Mini.  In addition to the Canathon, they're also participating in the Toys for Tots program.  If you bring in your non-perishables or toys now through December 6, the iPad Mini could be yours.

"We're community service at the heart of our agency here, so this fits right in with our mission of being a community service provider, so it's the holiday season and it's time to give back to the community," said Jeff Nyquist of U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

This month is also National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

Staff from U.P. Home Health and Hospice recently painted the Full Throttle Bar in Gwinn pink as part of a fundraiser sponsored by the Pink Power group.

Donations can be dropped off at either of the hospice locations:  Suite 44, Marquette Medical Center, Marquette or 510 Mather Ave. in Ishpeming (near Miracle Center).
