HOUGHTON -- The Houghton and Hancock Bicycle and Pedestrian Committees are asking for your help in a new survey.

If you walk or bike throughout Houghton and Hancock, you're asked to fill out a 10-minute survey so the committee can offer safer routes.

So far there have been over 600 responses to the survey.

"Results have really shown that people are interested in more bike lanes," said Health Education Coordinator Sara Salo. "They're also interested in more awareness activities for both cyclists and drivers. The lift bridge is another issue."

The last day to fill out the survey is November 21. The bike and pedestrian committee says they'll use the information from the survey and then start on improvement projects, and you can find the survey here.
