NORWAY -- As Veterans Day approaches, schools across the country are showing patriotism for our nation's heroes.

Norway-Vulcan School had their yearly Veterans Day celebration in the auditorium. The event began with the school's chorus singing patriotic tunes for their student body.

It also had several speakers including a ten-year-old girl who won a contest for her patriotic essay.

"I think that the kids look forward to hearing the speaker, especially if they're all good speakers, but some are willing to share more in-depth stories, and I think that's where it can get interesting," said Tony Adams, a teacher of Social Studies.

The school believes the annual commemoration is a great way to honor the men and women who have served our country and gives students more insight into what Veterans Day is all about.
