GWINN -- Gwinn community members are trying to bring back a piece of a history that will sit 51 feet above the city.

They've been wanting to put back up the original Gwinn clock tower for the past five-and-a-half years, but the Clock Restoration Committee has hit a road block--they don't have enough money. So far, they've raised just over $53,000 but still have a ways to go to. They also are still trying to find a builder.

Their financial goal is between $80,000-$140,000.

"There have been so many improvements that have been done to Gwinn in the last four years or so, but we're still missing the clock. We still are missing the 'front toot' as a lot of people call it," said Clock Restoration Committee Chairman, Gerry Stille.
