SUV slams into the back of truck and takes off

NEGAUNEE -- A hit-and-run investigation is underway in the City of Negaunee. The incident happened late Friday night on Marquette County Road 480 by the railroad overpass.

The Marquette County Sheriff's office says the victim was driving his truck east on County Road 480 when he was rear-ended and pushed into the westbound lane, causing him to slam into the guard rail.

The unidentified victim was not injured. He says the driver of the other vehicle never stopped and continued east.

Authorities described the suspect's vehicle as being a Honda CRV, four door, dark blue or black in color. The vehicle should have front end damage.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police or the Marquette County Sheriff's office at 225-8435 and ask for Deputy Ulvila.
