HOUGHTON -- A 26-year-old Lake Linden man charged with two felony counts of breaking and entering will face a jury of his peers.

Back in July, Philip Provost broke into two businesses in Lake Linden, according to police. On Thursday Provost was in Houghton County Circuit Court and rejected a plea agreement from the prosecutor.

A two day trial is scheduled for December. Last month the judge entered a not guilty plea after Provost stood mute on both of his breaking and entering charges.

If convicted, Provost could face up to 20 years in prison.
