CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP -- While some may have braved the cold outdoors for this Halloween, others preferred a much warmer location:  Cherry Creek Elementary School.

The school was packed Wednesday evening for the 28th Annual Chocolay Lions Club Halloween Party.  There were candy booths and games for all of the little ghouls and boys.  And, not to mention, lots of free food, all donated by businesses from Marquette and Chocolay Township.

"Here we are in Cherry Creek School.  They're protected from the outside elements.  It's nice and dry in here versus the weather, so I think it's going to continue on," said Lions Club President, Pete LaRue, of the party.

The Chocolay Lions Club says they keep the Halloween party in their budget every year, so it's already in the plans for next Halloween.
