ESCANABA -- The new Doctors Park facility in Escanaba had its grand opening Tuesday, and the festivities included a tour, a pumpkin painting contest, and of course, trick or treating for the kids.
Officials say the purpose of the day was to welcome the community to the new building. Kids dressed up and enjoyed the sweet treats.
The highlights of the facility are the family practice clinic, the specialty clinic upstairs, and hematology and oncology.
"We offer these services right in their home. The benefit is that they don't have to travel to Marquette. They can stay close to home and have that same top care that they receive in Marquette," said Regional Director, Matt Krause.
Officials say despite the cold, rainy weather, the turnout to the grand opening was high.
