ISHPEMING -- Students and their families in Ishpeming were offered a convenient way to get flu shots.

Instead of driving to a clinic, the clinic came to them at Ishpeming High School.  The school says about 25 parents and kids received the shots, offered by the Marquette County Health Department.

"Not everybody gets the chance to get to another clinic or to the doctors, so we have it here, offered by the health department.  We just get the paper work done and get the message out to the parents," said Ishpeming School Nurse, Kathy Roberts.

The shots cost $8 for kids, $25 for adults.

The health department has spent the past few weeks traveling to different schools in the county.  Ishpeming was their last stop of the season.
