No skiing in Norway

NORWAY -- The ski season is just around the corner, but you won't be able to ski at Norway Mountain this winter. The ski hill is closed for the season.

When contacted, owner Mike Gotstein said he declined comment. There is a statement from Mike and Mary Gotstein on their website.

The statement thanks the community for 20 great years. It goes on to say their lives are taking a different direction and it's time to move on.

No word on the long range plans for Norway Mountain, but it will remain closed this season.
