MARQUETTE -- Saturday marked a heartfelt reunion for a very special group of kids.
Members of Camp Star, a grief group for kids who've lost loved ones, reunited Saturday at the Moosewood Nature Center.
Together the campers participated in various activities designed to help them cope with their loss.
Organizers say the program offers a unique way for the kids to connect.
"Some of them go to school and they're the only ones in their whole school that might have lost a loved one, and who do you relate to at that point?" said Jean Hetrick, an organizer. "We're building a bond between them and the community."
The kids were also given teddy bears made with clothing from their loved ones.
