MARQUETTE -- A fall concert at Northern Michigan University has brought three different choirs together: the Northern Michigan University Choir, the NMU Madrigal Singers and the Lake Effect Show Choir.
They performed on Sunday at the Reynolds Recital Hall. Organizers say the performance was a mixture of sounds, both old and new.
"We've got something for everybody," said Floyd Slotterback, a choir director and professor of music at Northern Michigan University. "We go back as early as the Renaissance, and we come up as present as today."
Slotterback says it took roughly seven weeks to prepare for the performance.
