MARQUETTE -- If you happened to notice a line of fire trucks at Harlow Park in Marquette, worry not, it was not an emergency.

The display of about one dozen Marquette County fire trucks was part of Fire Prevention Week. Officials say this year's theme is "Have two ways out," explaining that families must have a clear exit plan in case of a house fire.

"If your main way out of your home is blocked by a fire, have a backup, a second way out of that dangerous situation," said Ben Wilder of the Marquette Fire Department. "Have a meeting place outside with your family where everybody can be together, and then you know everybody made it out safely."

Safety officials also urge families to have working smoke detectors in the house.
