HANCOCK -- The City of Hancock is celebrating fall with scarecrows located in front of different businesses on downtown Main Street.
The Hancock Business and Professional Association came up with the idea as a way to bring in more community involvement.
"It's not just for the fall, but for upcoming holidays as well," said Sew Sisters owner Sandy Coponen. "It helps the economy out. It brings a more personable relationship between the business members here in Hancock. Not just on Main Street, but throughout all of Hancock."
Hancock says most of the scarecrows were decorated by kids so if your kid is interested in making their very own scarecrow, all they have to do is ask a downtown business. The city says keep an eye on downtown because more decorations are coming within the next couple of months.
