MARQUETTE -- The former Waterfront restaurant in downtown Marquette has new management.

Recently, Superior Hospitality took out a lease on the banquet facility, located above L'atitude. Now the Waterfront event plus venue facility will be a full-time banquet hall.

"There isn't a full-time events only facility in Marquette," said Superior Hospitality owner, Dan Torres. "Most every major city has something like that. So we saw an opportunity to fill a void in Marquette that the community needs."

Superior Hospitality will bring in 16 part-time workers to help staff the facility, and management says they are open for anyone looking to book an event.

On Tuesday at 7 p.m., the city commission will vote to approve a dance and entertainment permit for the facility.
