MARQUETTE -- A group of fraternity brothers are taking on a 170-mile voyage, all while pushing a bathtub.

The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity has been doing this as a fundraiser for years. This Friday they will push the bathtub from Sault Ste. Marie all the way back to Marquette.

In the past they've helped the U.P. Children's Museum, Special Olympics, and the Alzheimer's Association. This year the proceeds will benefit the Marquette City Police K-9 unit. They say the department could use a little help after longtime K-9 unit member, Nero, retired earlier this year.

"The department had to get two new dogs; they paid for it out of their pockets," said TKE fraternity member Charlie Sullivan. "All costs associated with cleaning up drugs comes right out of the department's pocket, so they're kind of hurting for money. So we thought we'd help them out this year."

The fraternity is accepting donations online. If you'd like more information, check out the fraternity's donation page.
