SANDS TWP -- Runners came to the Teaching Family Homes in Sands Township to run for a benefit.

It was the second annual Silver Creek Trail run. There were more than double the number of runners from last year's inaugural race. All proceeds benefit the Teaching Family Homes, which cares for abused and neglected children. The race also showcases the many trails that surround the homes.

Runners had their choice of a 10K, 5K, and 1K race.
