MARQUETTE -- Runners gathered at Lower Harbor Saturday morning to run for a cause.

It was the fifth annual Great Lakes Run. Proceeds benefit the Great Lakes Recovery centers that help those that suffer from behavioral and addiction problems across the Upper Peninsula. One of the purposes of the race is to increase awareness of mental health issues and substance abuse.

Runners could participate in a 10K run south to Harvey or a 5K walk north through Lower Harbor.
