MARINETTE -- The 55-year-old Wausaukee man charged with homicide appeared in Marinette County court Friday.

Police arrested Richard Heyer last month for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 51-year-old Ann Schueller, at a gas station in Crivitz. He shot himself after the incident, but survived, police said. Heyer waived his preliminary hearing and will be arraigned Nov6.

Heyer is charged with first degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
