FLORENCE CO. -- Wisconsin's first lady Tonette Walker strolled through Florence County Friday as part of her 'Walk With Walker' initiative.
The first lady joined several residents in Florence for a walk through LaSalle Falls. Walker has been holding these events throughout Wisconsin to promote the scenic natural beauty that exists within the state.
"Showcase these to other Wisconsinites and let them know that all of these trails and locations are out there for the community to go and free of charge and they're one-day trips, how wonderful can that be?" said Walker.
LaSalle Falls was the first lady's 15th walk so far this year, but also the first waterfall in her travels. She hopes showcasing the beautiful areas around Wisconsin will promote tourism and travel within the state.
