HANCOCK -- Finlandia University is celebrating Finnish folk music with the 14th annual Sibelius Academy Music Festival.

The festival features a folk music quartet and a classical piano and cello duo. The performers are all student-musicians from Finland, and Finlandia University officials say the concert is definitely worth attending.

"It's lovely music first and foremost," said communications director Karen Johnson. "These young students are extremely talented. They are definitely at a professional level even though they are pursuing their studies."

The grand finale concert is on Friday night with doors of the Calumet Theatre opening at 7 p.m. Tickets to the event are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Finlandia University students get in free with a student ID.
