Woman injured in hit-and-run

MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run involving a truck and a woman at the intersection of Presque Isle Ave. and Wright St. in Marquette.

Police say that the crash happened at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday morning. The woman was walking on the east side of Presque Isle Ave. when a vehicle turning on Wright St. hit her. The color of the pickup truck is unknown, but police say the driver was a young white man.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Marquette General Hospital.
