KINGSFORD -- Kingsford High School students are preparing their rockets for takeoff.  The students are in the high powered rocketry program where they build their own rockets.

The young rocketeers will blast off 20 to 30 rockets anywhere from three to five thousand feet high.  They say seeing the rockets' takeoff makes all the hard work well worth it.

"I'm pretty excited because seeing all the rockets go up real high, even if you do lose them in the sky, when you see them land again it's really fun to go and find them," said sophomore rocketeer, Kris Condray.

The young rocketeers invite everyone to attend the blast off Saturday at 10 a.m. at the former Groveland Mine.
