Man accused of murdering his wife will stand trial

GOGEBIC COUNTY -- The murder case against Kenneth Wayne Peters is heading for Gogebic County Circuit Court.

On Thursday afternoon, Gogebic County District Court Judge Anders Tingstad released the decision from Wednesday's preliminary hearing that Peters will be bound over on all three counts, in the death of 79-year-old Ethel Grzena Peters.

She was reported missing from Bessemer on August 3, and her body was found on August 10 in Watersmeet Township.

The charges facing Peters are first and second degree murder and vulnerable abuse of an adult, second degree. The 50-year-old Bessemer man will returns to Gogebic County Circuit Court on October 9.
