MARQUETTE -- While many people were outside Sunday, some stayed indoors to put their vocabulary skills to the test.
The Peter White Public Library now has a Scrabble club. A few people showed up for the first meeting. The club meets every third Sunday of the month from 2 to 5 p.m.
It's a great way to build your vocabulary and enhance your spelling skills. While you are playing, you can enjoy some tunes from the traditional music Jam Club.
"I know you can play Scrabble online and a lot of people do that, but I think the one-on-one connection with people still is really important, and I think people enjoy that 'getting to know' their Scrabble partner and meet them face to face," said Margaret Boyle of the Peter White Public Library.
To join the club, you have to be at least 14 years or older.
