It was a cold and dry Friday night for many in the UP. Down to 29 for lows in Wakefield and Kenton, and 30 in Watersmeet, Randville, and Spincich Lake. It's a big change for Saturday and Sunday though.
As high pressure dominates the weather for the majority of the Midwest and Great Lakes, skies will be plenty sunny for Saturday. As the high moves eastward, winds will increase out of the south bringing in more warm air and moisture. Winds will be stronger west first, so those counties will see the warmer temps first. Highs will be in the mid 60s east and low 70s east.
Saturday night's lows will only fall into the 40s inland and around the 50s near the lakeshore. Skies should again be mostly clear.
On Sunday, as the southwest winds continue, highs will warm up into the mid and upper 70s. Skies should be mostly sunny.
On Sunday night, conditions change a good deal. As a cold front enters the area later in the evening, skies wil become increasingly cloudy from the west. Rain is also likely along with the front overnight into Monday. Lows will be in the 50s.
Monday's highs will be much cooler, not likely warming up much from the night before. Rain is likely most of the day along the front. Rainfall could be heavy at times, but the thunder potential is low.
