ISHPEMING -- The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce is hoping to make it a little easier to navigate western Marquette County.

After four months of writing and compiling, the GINCC is set to release a community guide for the area. The book features about 200 chamber members, ads and discounts. The group plans to distribute them among the community.

According to the chamber, the book was made because of high demand.

"We've had a lot of requests through phone calls, emails, even new residents stopping in and they're just looking for something to help them out, help them get familiar with the community and help them find the series that they need to make a life here," said Kate Annala of the GINCC.

There are plans to update the book annually to include new members. The chamber will mark their third anniversary this Thursday.
