MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- A two vehicle crash on US-41 in front of Walmart in Marquette Township sent one woman to the hospital on Wednesday.

According to police, Thomas Ross of Baraga was behind the wheel of a westbound pickup truck when he says he was temporarily blinded by the setting sun and struck a Dodge Caravan.

Lisa Rahtulah, 24, was driving the Caravan and was attempting to turn east on to US-41. The Marquette County Sheriff's Department and Marquette Township Firefighters assisted on the scene.

Only minor injuries were reported. Rahtulah was taken to Marquette General Hospital, suffering neck pain.
