NEGAUNEE TWP -- People gathered in Negaunee Township on Saturday for a celebration of everything Finnish.

It was the third annual Finn Fun Day sponsored by the U.P. chapter of the League of Finnish-American Societies. Musical performers took the floor throughout the day. Vendors had many Finnish clothes, souvenirs, and food for sale. The Finnish military display was a popular sight for everyone.

"We've had calls from Houghton that there's carloads coming from Houghton and all over the Upper Peninsula, so it's really gaining in popularity and people are really enjoying it," said Ron Hill, president of LOFAS UP Chapter.

Finland Calling's Carl Pellonpaa also made a guest appearance.
