HANCOCK -- The Houghton County Fair continued on Saturday.

The 56th annual event includes the usual games, food, and animals. Inside the county ice arena, fairgoers find several more vendors, including a recently published author. Jeff Hauswirth, a local Physical Education teacher, wrote a book titled, What are you waiting for?

It's an introduction to weight training for people who want to take their exercise beyond cardio workouts.

"There's a lot more to learn as far as weight training and weight lifting and resistance exercise, so I had this program that I've done with many people for many years, so I thought I'd make it a book. So far it's going really well," said Hauswirth.

The fair wraps up on Sunday. Events include a demolition derby that gets underway at 2 p.m.
