Temperatures have been below average for for a good chunk of August, and they'll be staying that way for a bit longer. Saturday's highs should be in the upper 60s to low 70s. A north and northwest wind will continue the flow of cool air into the Great Lakes. A cold front will increase those winds as it passes over the course of the afternoon.
Most of the UP should start out with some sunshine, but the cold front shold bring an increase in clouds and some rain with it. Some thundershowers are possible along the front as well. Rain is not looking to be heavy, and conditions should clear up after it passes.
Saturday night will cool down with lows in the 40s to low 50s. The western interior could approach the 30s depending on how much cloud cover remains. Behind the front skies should be mostly clear. Winds will lighten up, but maintain a northerly flow.
Sunday will be cooler with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Skies will be mostly sunny.
On Sunday night, conditions should be mostly clear and winds will be light and variable as high pressure starts to take over. Lows will fall mainly into the 40s. It will be warmer near the lakes, and it could be as low as mid 30s in the western interior.
Monday will also be cool, but temperatures will be more seasonable by Tuesday. Chances for rain look likely on Thursday.
