MARQUETTE -- Get your golf clubs ready for the fight against breast cancer. It's the second annual "Rally for the Cure" golf outing.
It takes place at the Greywalls golf course on Monday, August 20. Rally for the Cure is a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the U.P. Pink Power ladies.
Money raised will also be donated to the U.P. Pink Power ladies who give it to local cancer patients.
"It's just important bringing awareness, raising money. Susan G. Komen raises money for the cure; our local people give money to cancer patients for treatments, for their travel. So we're basically supporting patients from all over the spectrum, and we're very excited to do that," said event organizer, Shelby Kivela.
Check in is at 4 p.m. Monday, August 20 with a shotgun start at 5 p.m.
More than 70 people are already signed up, but there's still time for you to join. The cost is $40 per person.
